The conference will take place at Mevlana University located in Konya, in the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey. Konya, a calm and safe city was once the capital of Sultanate of Rum, known in Turkish as Anadolu Selçukluları, a situation which resulted in much of the architectural heritage visible today. The poet and Sufi thinker Rumi also settled in the city during this period.

By train: Konya is connected to Istanbul via the high-speed railway services of the Turkish State Railways (4 hours 15 minutes, one-way/single fare: $30 normal, $45 business class).
By bus: Konya's bus station (otogar) has good connections to a wide range of destinations, including Istanbul (~10 hours).
By plane: Turkish Airlines (from Istanbul Ataturk Airport), Anadolu Jet (from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport), and Pegasus Airlines (from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport) offer flights from Istanbul to Konya Airport (IATA: KYA, ICAO: LTAN).
Important: Because of the limited number of flights and seats, we suggest you book your airfare early.
The airport is about 13 km Northeast of the city centre; expect to pay $20 for taxi. Depending on flight arrival / departure times, Havaş airport buses run five to seven shuttle-bus services between the airport and central Konya ($5, 30 minutes).
