Special issue of the journal

Contributions are invited for a special issue on Advances in Natural Language Processing of the journal Research in Computing Science, ISSN 1870-4069. This journal is published by the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico. See an example issue here and more information here. Currently the journal is indexed in Latindex. It is not indexed in SCI SCI / JCR.

The topics of interest, paper size, and paper format are identical to those of the CICLing-2008 conference.

The papers included in the journal must be presented as posters at this conference. This implies that for each paper, at least one author must be registered for the conference (paying the author's fee) and must attend it in person to present the paper as poster. We will communicate the payment procedure to the authors of accepted papers.

The journal issue will be distributed to the participants of the conference.

The papers are to be submitted through the paper registration system of CICLing-2008 conference, see Submission instructions. Papers registered with option "Paper to be considered for poster presentation and RCS journal publication" will be considered for publication. The submissions should not include authors' names. (If your paper has been already submitted for the CICLing conference then you should have received instructions on its submission for this special issue; please let us know if you did not. No need to re-submit your paper!).

All submissions will be reviewed by several independent reviewers and will be subject to a strict selection process.

    Deadline for registration of abstracts: October 15
    Deadline for uploading full text PDF file for registered papers: October 25
    Acceptance notification: November 26
    Camera-ready deadline: December 6
